Colombia Go back to countries map Data for Impact (D4I) is working in three areas to support the Instituto Colombiano de Bienestar Familiar (ICBF) to strengthen the collection and use of high-quality routine child protection data in Colombia. The project is working with front-line child protection workers to improve usability of the Sistema de Información Misional (SIM), which has been found to inadequately capture child protection data. Furthermore, D4I is assisting subnational staff to determine the data they need for decision making, with the aim of improving and expanding the visualizations available on ICBF’s dashboards. Finally, the project is engaging stakeholders from all levels of ICBF to develop monitoring and evaluation indicators for the institute’s new case management system.
