Men’s Health Men’s health is important to the welfare of families, societies, and global health. Men are most often responsible for family livelihoods, which affect the well-being of women and children. Men’s sexual and reproductive health and behaviors can have a direct impact on their partner’s health and well-being. Men are also affected differently than women by infectious diseases—either more likely or less likely to contract specific diseases that compromise their health. And men have the potential to be a strong advocating voice for health-seeking behaviors that benefit their children and their female relatives.
